The main function of my role is to support the Associate Dean (Curriculum, Qualifications and Partnerships) in planning and developing the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences' curriculum and curriculum partnerships, with a particular focus on developing new qualifications and working with staff in Marketing to carry out market research and to promote and publicise the Faculty's qualifications and modules.
I first joined the OU as a clerk in 1988, moving to an admin role in the Credit Transfer Centre the following year. In 1996 became a member of the Deanery team in the former Faculty of Social Sciences and have since worked in a variety of roles managing various aspects of the Faculty's curriculum including module development budgets, media development, support to academic staff based in regions, collaboration with other institutions and qualifications management.
