Professor Stephen Peake

Professor Stephen Peake

The Open University

Stephen is Professor of Climate Change and Energy at the Open University. He is Fellow of the Cambridge Judge Business School and Senior Associate of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. He has spent the last 30 years working in different roles on creative approaches to communication, business thinking, design and systems thinking practices around climate change, energy and sustainability.

Bath Spa University

Dr Samantha Walton is a writer and academic based in Bristol. Her latest book, Everybody Needs Beauty: In Search of the Nature Cure (Bloomsbury 2021), explores the politics, past and future of 'healing nature' through arts, cultural history and science. She is also author of The Living World: Nan Shepherd and Environmental Thought (Bloomsbury 2020), Guilty But Insane: Mind and Law in Golden Age Detective Fiction (OUP 2015) and a collection of poetry, Self Heal (Boiler House 2018). She has held research fellowships at the Rachel Carson Center, Munich; IASH, Edinburgh; and through the AHRC's ECR Leadership award. Dr Walton is Reader in Modern Literature at Bath Spa University and currently director of the Research Centre for Environmental Humanities and co-director of the Research Centre for Mental Health, Creativity and Wellbeing.
