Rhiannon joined the OU as a Lecturer & Staff Tutor (Psychology and Counselling) in September 2019, and will be overseeing a range of undergraduate modules in the South West Region. Rhiannon was part of the DE100 module team but has since transitioned into the production of a masters qualification. Previously, Rhiannon worked as a Lecturer at the University of Buckingham, where she taught components of the MSc in Health Psychology and oversaw the Placement element of the programme.
Rhiannon’s main research interests are in Health Psychology and has a PhD in Psychology awarded from the University of Bath. Her research interests are in understanding more about the factors that influence how we report pain, including pain in older adults who live with (and without) a degenerative disease. From a Scholarship perspective, Rhiannon is interested in making postgraduate studies accessible to all students.
