Introducing the Cultural History of Glasgow Research Network

Dates
Monday, March 18, 2019 - 13:30 to 17:00
Location
Blythswood Room, The Mitchell Library, (Floor 5) North Street Glasgow G3 7DN

This is the first in a series of workshops bringing together those researching any aspect of Glasgow’s cultural history. The first session will provide an introduction to the Glasgow City Archives (2-3pm), including advice from archivists about handling various types of document. Please note that the Archives is a ‘pencils only’ area. Afterwards, there will be a general introduction to this research network (3.45-5pm) and an opportunity for you to give a brief outline of your current research. A light lunch will be provided from 1.30pm in the Blythswood Room, with tea/ coffee break 3-3.40pm. If you are a local or family historian, research student, or experienced researcher, come along and find out how you can contribute to this project. Please contact Carol Raeside by emailing Carol.Raeside@open.ac.uk for further details.
