Please join us for the official event release of the new Publication from Peter Lang: Cybernetic Imaginations, the first in the academic series Speculations.

Editors Mark Fryers and Marcus Harmes will be joined by contributors, Professor Sheryl Hamilton, Dr Kwasu Tembo and Dr Alice Giuliani.

The authors will be presenting their chapters that evaluate cybernetic imaginations from different perspectives from this collection that reassesses the cultural role, representation and function of Cybernetics in an increasing age of AI and Machine Intelligence.

  • Alice Giuliani - Re-Animation: DeAgeing, Posthumous Performances and the Life of the (post) human
  • Kwasu David Tembo - Emancipation from the Emitter: Towards a General Theory of AI Disability through ‘The Samantha Complex’

The talks will be followed by a Q&A Session with the authors and editors.
