Join us for Where Is the Future of Criticism? Online Platforms and Literary Discussion, a free two-day online conference exploring how digital spaces are reshaping book culture, literary reviewing, and scholarly discourse.
Supported by the Open University’s HOBAR Research Group and OpenARC, this event brings together researchers and thinkers to examine the decline of traditional legacy media book coverage and the rapid rise of alternative venues—from BookTok and Substack to the post-X landscape. Featuring a keynote address by Professor Simone Murray (Monash University), speakers over the two days will address critical questions about the future of literary production, the publishing industry, and whether the next era of criticism truly belongs to new digital platforms and independent voices. Visit the conference website for further details.
