As part of the Centre of Global Challenges and Social Justice’s events targeting research impact and engagement practices, you are warmly invited to join the seminar on ‘How to communicate research findings effectively to policy makers and politicians’ on Tuesday 26 March 2024 (online via Teams).

In this session Simon Usherwood will be sharing tips and tricks on how to communicate research findings effectively to policy makers and politicians.

This session’s speaker is Simon Usherwood, Professor of Politics & International Studies at The Open University in the School of Social Sciences & Global Studies.

About the speaker

Simon Usherwood’s impact and engagement includes activities beyond academia, with an active presence on Twitter, regular blogs and podcasting, as well as numerous media appearances. He has given evidence to Parliament, briefed politicians and civil servants in several European states and participating in many public talks and debates. He will be sharing best practices, tips and tricks with the audience who are invited to join the Q&A session at the end of the seminar.
