Criminology academics consult for OU/BBC short film: What does it take to be a prison officer?

A brand new BBC Ideas short film is now available to view on the award-winning BBC Ideas website from Tues 27 Jan at 13:30. 

In a recent survey, 72% of prison officers say they are frequently stressed at work, 45% say they have been assaulted at least once. So what motivates them - and how do they cope? This new video joins our comprehensive set of OU/BBC co-produced digital videos available and more films will follow this year.
