A new OU/BBC series, ICONS, in which viewers can vote for their favourite 20th-century figure. The last show is on Tuesday 5th February on BBC2 at 9pm.
ICONS is an eight-part series exploring the achievements and legacies of some of the greatest figures of the 20th Century across different fields of human endeavour; Leaders, Explorers, Scientists, Entertainers, Sports Stars, Artists & Writers, and Activists.
Episode 1: Leaders (08.01.19 @ 9pm)
In this episode, Sir Trevor McDonald will examine the lives of Winston Churchill, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Margaret Thatcher and Nelson Mandela.
Episode 2: Explorers (09.01.19 @9pm)
In this episode, Dermot O'Leary will examine the lives of Ernest Shackleton, Gertrude Bell, Neil Armstrong and Jane Goodall.
