Alessio Antonini, who is currently undertaking a PhD jointly supervised by Philosophy and English, is lead author on a manuscript that has been awarded best research paper at the 2025 Hypertext and Social Media Conference.

Alessio and his team’s paper "Literary Hypertext, AI, and Google’s New Web: An Aesthetics Discussion" offers “a speculative exploration of what a future web might look like, with an eye to particular forms of hypertext”.

Alessio was previously first author on a manuscript that won the Douglas Engelbart Best Paper award at the 2020 Hypertext and Social Media Conference.

Well done Alessio!
