I am a Person-Centred/Experiential Psychotherapist, Facilitator, Supervisor and author. I am a part-time PhD student with The Open University.
My current research interests centre on the development of size affirmative psychotherapeutic practice. I am interested in the notion of research as an act of social justice and activism.
Previous research explored British Sign Language and Deaf Culture in the therapeutic relationship, power in relationship when the therapist is Deaf, the client is hearing and a sign language interpreter is present, and values and identity in online teaching.
I have been an Associate Lecturer with the Open University, teaching psychology and counselling at undergraduate level since 2007. I have also taught psychotherapy and counselling up to Masters Level.
