Professional biography

I am an applied macroeconomist and policy analyst with extensive experience in teaching, research and consultancy both in the public and private sector. I hold a PhD degree in Economics from the University of Sheffield, specialising in the areas of Macroeconomics, International Finance and Applied Econometrics.

Before joining the Open University, I was a teaching-focus Lecturer in Economics at the University of East Anglia, where I developed, designed and led modules on International Macroeconomics (year three) and International trade and Integrational (year two). My professional experience also includes working as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Sheffield and the University of Nigeria, as a research economist with the UK government's Department for Communities and Local Government and as an audit associate with Deloitte Nigeria. 

I am currently a panel expert for the Euromoney Country Risk (ECR) survey that examines the health of world economies every quarter, and my research has featured in the media. I am also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

My broad research interest lies in the areas of Dynamic Macroeconomics and Applied Macroeconometrics. My specific research interests focus on:
