Professional biography

I joined the Faculty of Arts in 2008 as Administrator for Information and Governance, and am now Manager for Information and Communications for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).

I am responsible for the face of the Faculty, including print and online prospectuses, internal and external communications, the Arts intranet, and our social media. I work closely with colleagues in other Faculties, Communications, Marketing, and Media Unit, as well as our Curriculum Management Office, Research support team, and academics.  I am part of the FASS Communications Team, Secretary to the Communications Group and to the FASS Open Media Group.

I support the Executive Dean and Director of Strategy, Planning and Resources in relation to Faculty Assembly and associated groups and activities.

I am also responsible for equality and diversity issues within the Faculty, and work with the University's Equality and Diversity Team.

Research interests

Independently, I research and write on utopianism, ideal communities (and pirates)

Teaching interests

I am an Associate Lecturer for International Studies, and was a part-time lecturer at three universities prior to the OU.
