Research interests

Early interests included peace research/conflict resolution and gendered identities. More recently, I have been focused on education, particularly widening participation and the efficacy of peer to peer mentoring.

I began tutoring as an AL in 2001. I am currently Module Chair of DD308 (Making Social Worlds) and Cluster Manager on DD102. As someone who came to higher education as a mature student I have maintained an interest in widening access in HE and was previously programme director of two Access to HE courses at a college of further education.
