OPRC Supported Events for 2022-2023

The Open Psychology Research Centre (OPRC) supports a range of events like book-launches, research meetings, talks from external speakers, and conferences.

The OPRC supported series of events for the year 2022-2023 as outlined below:

  • Knowledge transfer event in Edinburgh: ‘The Political Positions between us: Can Psychology Depolarise the British Public?’ led by Dr Kesi Mahendran on 13 October 2022.
  • Research Training event: ‘Participants in Psychology: Reporting and Interpretation of Samples’, let by Dr Nihan Albayrak-Aydemir, 15 August-15 October 2022.
  • EU funded grant-related GVERSITY event in Milton Keynes: ‘Emerging Gender Equality Research from the G-VERSITY Consortium at the Open Psychology Research Centre’ led by Professor Peter Hegarty on 20 October 2022.
  • FCRG (Forensic Cognition Research Group): ‘Psychology in Context’- led by Dr Ailsa Strathie and Dr Lara Frumkin - London - 02 November 2022.
  • Talk for undergraduate students: 'How is King Charles III Looking Forward Now? The Embodied Imagination of People and Events from Left to Right' led by Professor Peter Hegarty - 21 November 2022.
  • CuSP (The Culture and Psychology Group): ‘Beyond existing methodologies innovations in technological and digital uses for research’ led by Dr Sandra Obradovic and Professor John Dixon – 22 November 2022.
  • Qualitative Research Showcase. Organized by OPRC and D810 module team for D810 (MSc Conversion) students. 3 December 2022.
  • Developing transdisciplinary research in response to crisis’, led by Professor Paul Stenner, 7 December 2022.
  • Meta-analysis Open Research Workshop led by Dr Sarah Laurence, to be held in early 2023.
  • Talk for undergraduate students: 'Neurodiversity, ADHD and Identity – an introduction to some qualitative research' led by Professor Paul Stenner – 23 January 2023
  • PHeW (Psychology of Health and Wellbeing group) led by Professor Darren Langdridge and Dr David Kaposi will hold an event with keynotes in June 2023.
  • A series of Journal club monthly meetings led by Dr Marta Prandelli and Dr Nihan Albayrak-Aydemir, 10 November 2022- 08 June 2023.
  • A two-day CMB & CAB end of year event, led by the OPRC in 10/11 July 2023.
