OU receives £300k grant to explore legacies of colonialism in Malaysia

Dr Geetha Reddy, of The Open University, and colleagues have received a grant totalling almost £300k for a two-year project studying the effects of colonialism in Malaysia. The groundwork for this project was supported by The OU’s Open Societal Challenges. In this participatory action research project, Dr Reddy and colleagues based at Universiti Malaya focus on understanding intergenerational poverty transmission amongst Malaysian Indian women.
