Dr Lara Frumkin, Senior Lecturer in Psychology, and has secured funding of almost £50k to lead a 2-year project looking at digital technologies, power and control.
Lecturer in Art History, Dr Renate Dohmen has been awarded the prestigious Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship 2020 for her project: Colonial Art in British India: Power, Gender and Race under the Raj.
Clare Taylor's The Design, Production and Reception of Eighteenth-Century Wallpaper in Britain (London: Routledge) and Kim Woods's Cut in Alabaster: a Material of Sculpture and its European Traditions (Turnhout: Brepols) were both recognised for excellent scholarship by the 2020 Historians of British Art awards in their respective categories: Single-authored book with a subject 1600–1800 and Single-authored book with a subject before 1600.
Exodus: Our Journey to Europe, an OU/BBC Production which was broadcast in July 2016, won the Best Documentary Series award at the Broadcasting Awards held on 1st February 2017.
