My poem Summer Breeze is about the hope nature can provide. I was inspired by an image in my mind: a flower with striking white petals.
White petals
Flare from the centre
A swirling and glowing lights up the air
before me
Golden light flickers,
Dances around my crown
You stand at my stem fallen
From grace, from Earth
I was alone
Until the sun shone on me
And the cloud broke out,
Seeds grew from the earth
Unlocked a fresh daze
And a longing
Grew into a spectacle of
White, purple, yellow and red
Summer breeze,
blew away the cobwebs
I let go,
I let go
