National Market Traders Federation Annual Conference in Blackpool

Gunvor Jonsson and Sophie Watson were guests at the 2022 National Market Traders Federation Annual Conference in Blackpool. This was the first conference since 2019 due to the pandemic so members were excited to be back. 

Sophie Watson presented a key note on The Importance of Visions for Revitalising Markets which went down well with the audience. Talks from other participants included stories about the new schemes for several markets in Yorkshire, the importance of diminishing harmful waste water, and the impact of new digital payment methods on markets. There were also fun outings like drinks on a local tram where the researchers were able to get to know some of the traders and market officials more informally.
