Chantal has an MA in Modern and Medieval Languages from Newnham College, University of Cambridge and an MSc in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
Her professional experience includes private sector communications and business development, and UK regional environmental and economic development. She has lead a range of research projects as well as managing programmes in the UK and overseas.
Chantal's PhD research is on the role of Latin American diaspora communities in country of origin development. Her interests lie in the experience of migration, concepts of belonging, transnational linkages to the country or origin or elsewhere and the developmental impact of diasporas.
