Development Policy and Practice (DPP) has a strong research culture and welcomes excellent applications to do full and part-time PhDs. Supervision is provided across our research networks in DPP, the Innovation, Knowledge and Development Centre (IKD) and the International Development and Inclusive Innovation (IDII) Strategic Research Area, as well as more widely in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
The deadline for all PhD applications, including funding and self funded students, is January.
All PhD students begin their studies on 1 October of that same calender year. We do not have a February intake for the PhD programme in Development Policy and Practice.
