We are very pleased to announce that Cristina Chimisso has been promoted from Senior Lecturer to Professor of Philosophy.

Prof. Chimisso joined The Open University in 2000. Since then, she has made teaching contributions across all levels, most recently on A113: Revolutions and A854: MA Philosophy, part 2. She has also successfully supervised to completion several PhD and MPhil students at the OU. Outside of the OU, she has been a member of the steering committee of the History of Philosophy of Science Society and worked with other learned societies too. Cristina’s research is in the philosophy of science and continental philosophy. Her most recent book was published by Routledge in 2019, Hélène Metzger, Historian and Historiographer of the Sciences.
