I studied for my BA (Hons.) and MA degrees in philosophy at Durham University (UK). My MA thesis was on the topic of Wittgenstein and aesthetic language and my undergraduate dissertation was on Nietzsche and eternal recurrence. Following this, I studied for a BA (Hons.) in theology at Oxford University (UK) and wrote a further dissertation on Wittgenstein, which focused on religious language.
My current PhD research focuses on Nietzsche, Wittgenstein and “anti-philosophy” – a current area of interest in metaphilosophy highlighted in the work of the French philosopher Alain Badiou.
Nietzsche and Wittgenstein, 19th century European philosophy, 20th century continental philosophy – specifically the work of Alain Badiou in response to Nietzsche and Wittgenstein.
