The deadline for applying for conference bursaries has now passed. Following please find the final text of the call for applications.
We invite presenters and attendees who are students, who are BIPOC scholars, or who are unable to pay fees because of severe economic, political or other constraints to apply for a number of bursaries to help defray the costs of attending the conference. These comprise a subsidy for in-person presenters and a waiver of the conference registration fee for online presenters and attendees. (In the past, subsidies for in-person presenters have often been around £100, although we hope to increase this.)
If you wish to apply for a bursary, please send the following information to [email protected]:
Decisions will be made by a panel of BFE Committee members, with priority given to presenters. Applications must be received by 17 March. Applicants will be notified of results by 23 March (i.e., a few days before the early-bird rate ends).
The BFE is a non-profit scholarly society with a limited budget, so we encourage presenters to draw on any institutional resources available to them before applying for a bursary.
