The Language, Literature and Politics research group is a cross-faculty initiative, bringing together researchers from the School of Arts and Humanities in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the School of Languages and Applied Linguistics in the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies.
The group investigates the relationship between language, literature (both literary criticism and creative writing) and politics in a wide range of contexts, through seminar series, public events and collaborations such as with MK Lit Fest. The LLP was established in 2021 by David Johnson and Philip Seargeant. It is currently co-directed by Philip Seargeant, Dan Taylor and Dónall Mac Cathmhaoill.
If you’d like to get in contact or propose a future event, please get in touch by emailing the three co-directors. You can also join our mailing list for very occasional updates here.
