The Robert Minter Collection of Early Trumpet Music

Robert Minter was a collector of images of early trumpet music. Tragically, he was killed in an aircraft accident in 1981. A searchable, contextual and annotated catalogue of the collection, written by Trevor Herbert, is available on the Open University website. It is important to emphasise that the purpose of the catalogue is to identify works (mainly seventeenth- and eighteenth-century) in which a trumpet part has been designated. The catalogue usually indicates the source of a manuscript. Images of the manuscripts in hard copy and microfilm form have been donated to the archive of the Royal Conservatoire oi Scotland.
