Due to restrictions still in place, we met as a group online on 2nd June 2021 to consider and review new practices in light of the pandemic.
On 21st February, we held the ‘Show and Tell’ session, where we heard some members talk about documents they are using for research.
Our first public study day covered a wide range of topics (James Street, Bridgeton; Glasgow’s Parks; the Scottish Women’s Hospitals of World War I), and the short ‘How to …’ presentations introduced new and developed existing research skills among all those attending.
On Saturday 21st September, we welcomed some new members and had another set of our 3-minute snapshot presentations on family history, Belgian refugees, Luftwaffe hits on Glasgow, and archaeology.
On Saturday 29th June, we welcomed returning and new members to our second workshop. Our small-group discussions considered two of the themes from Workshop 1, ‘Global Glasgow’ and ‘For the People’.
On Monday 18th March, Elaine, Carol, and Irene successfully delivered the first of our series of workshops and study days at The Mitchell Library, Glasgow.
The second workshop is scheduled for June, the third in September, and the Open Study Day in November. Dates will be published on this website.
