Launch of OSC73 – January 2024

January 2024 marked the formal beginning of DDR’s activities, with a two-day interactive workshop held at the Society of Antiquaries in London. We welcomed representatives of our partner organisations from around the world to share the state of the art from different sectors and countries on how contemporary authoritarian regimes manipulate information and how to counter it, with special attention given to the role that religious organisations creative engagements can play in propagating or resisting this kind of information manipulation. As part of our activities, participants collaboratively curated ‘cabinets of curiosity’ (see photo gallery) that brought together a diverse range of artefacts representing the areas of their work.
