Sociology launches Stuart Hall Dissertation Prize

The Open University Sociology department is pleased to announce the Professor Stuart Hall Dissertation Prize, awarded annually to three outstanding Sociology dissertations that contribute to discussions on issues relevant to the field of sociology, with a particular focus on social justice and equality.

This prize recognises D328, Principles of Social Research: Sociology Special Project Module, student dissertations that demonstrate originality, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of sociological themes and methodologies. Named in honour of Professor Stuart Hall, an influential scholar in sociology and cultural studies who worked at the Open University until 1997, the award seeks to acknowledge and support emerging sociologists. Find out more about the prize.
