Videos: Image Theatre

The following clips show how Image Theatre was used with all three groups we worked with.

Clip: Morphing Between 'Friendly' and 'Scary' Neighbourhoods:

This is an example of working with Image Theatre with the group of young girls from migrant families in North London. It shows an exercise where we ‘morphed’ from images of a what the girls termed a ‘friendly’ neighbourhood to images of a ‘scary’ neighbourhood. The clip shows the reflections prompted by this exercise.

This clip shows the girls’ group presenting images of their own neighbourhoods.

Clip: London Scenes:

This is an example of working with the mothers’ group where they created images of their everyday lives in London.

Clip: Evaluation of research process through Images:

Here we used Image Theatre to reflect with the participants from the NRPF group on the research through creating images. We used this as a way to reflect on and evaluate their experiences of the research project.
